What kind of wine does Baga originates
Baga originates very dark wines, with strong astringency. These wines are very concentrated in aroma, with notes of red berries, aromatic herbs and resigns, all wrapped in a wooden background. One of their main characteristics is, without doubt, their excellent tannin structure, which allows for long and noble ageing.

Baga represents around 50% of the planted red vines in the Dão region, and 90% in Bairrada. Besides these two regions, Baga is recommended in the I.P.R.'s of Alcobaça, Encosta de Aire, Almeirim and Tomar.
