Main characteristics
Adapts easily to the different soils and requires a warm weather and humidity. It is a vigorous plant but sensitive to rottenness.

What kind of wine does Pedernã originates
More often the wine presents a high acidity and a citric colour. The aroma evolution can be divided in two distinct periods: while young, the wine shown notes of citric fruits with medium intensity; with time it develops toasted and honey notes.

Main regions where Pedernã is planted
It is considered the “queen” variety in the region of Bucelas, and it is one of the white grapes most used in the whole country.
